Mission objectives also vary slightly, as some tasks include taking out communications relays, destroying ground structures and killing selective targets. These smaller, fighting ships come in different varieties and are designed to make stopping the aliens a challenge. You can expect heavy resistance in the form of force fields and shielded fighter ships. These big, bad ships don't travel unprepared, though. It's up to you and your squadron of fighters to take out the many generators on these ships as well as the primary weapon before it fires. In each area, the aliens plan to decimate the landscape and population with a giant, atomic bomb-like gun located in the middle of the ship. This synopsis sets up the main campaign mode that will thrust you into a gauntlet of locations throughout the world, where the alien motherships are trying to cause havoc.
